Make the Switch to United Community Bank
Switching Bank Accounts is as Easy as 1, 2, 3.
Because we know how valuable your time is, we've made opening your new account easier than ever before with our Ultimate Switch Kit. Just follow these three simple steps!
Step 1
Open a United Community Bank checking account. Stop by a banking office convenient to you and open your new account. Please remember to bring the following personal documents with you: social security number, driver's license, and an initial deposit ($100 for Relationship Checking). Visit our Personal Checking page for your account options.
Step 2
Stop using your old account, redirect your direct deposits and change your automatic withdrawals/drafts. Stop writing checks from the account you want to close and let the last of your checks clear, allowing up to ten business days. Request a check for any remaining balance in your account after you receive your final statement. Destroy any unused checks, deposit slips and any ATM or debit cards.
