When it comes to lending, over his 13 years as a loan officer Justin Gooding has seen and done it all – credit cards, HELOCs, boat and yacht, airplanes, small business and, of course, mortgage loans. In a way, you could say finance is a family business. Justin’s Dad spent 40+ years as a banker and his brother-in-law has also been in the industry for over 30 years. That means Justin has the knowledge and experience to understand your entire financial situation and how your mortgage is going to fit into your long-term financial goals.
For Justin, a home loan is more than a transaction. It’s an opportunity to build a relationship. He loves getting to know his clients and referral partners and enjoys being able to share his own story, along with his faith when he has the chance.
Justin is an active member of First Baptist of Charleston. He and his wife, Rebecca Shirer, were married in 2018. Both actively volunteer in their community. The Goodings have a golden doodle named Griff (if you stop by the office to see Justin, there’s a good chance you’ll also get to meet Griff – he often spends the work day by Justin’s side). Outside of work, you can find Justin at the golf course or boating around Charleston and Edisto Island.
