United Community Bank has announced the addition of Keri Wise as Head of Retail Sales as part of their community banking leadership team. In this newly created role, Wise will support more than 140 branches across four states with training and strategic guidance related to sales and service, employee satisfaction, and retail policies and operations.

“We are extremely honored to welcome Keri and her years of experience to our team,” said Rich Bradshaw, Chief Banking Officer for United Community Bank. “We’re focused on addressing our client’s banking needs and solving their financial problems – two things Keri has prioritized throughout her career. I am confident our community banking teams will benefit greatly from her focus on consistent strategy and results.”

Wise brings 20 years of experience in retail banking, management, small business lending and sales to United. These skills coupled with her focus on client relations and customer service will prove beneficial for the bank as they work to enhance their small business and consumer banking offerings. Most recently, Wise served as a Senior Vice President, Retail Banking Manager for the South Carolina region of BB&T where she managed more than 100 branches.

“It’s an honor to join a bank that prioritizes customers,” said Wise. “Everyone deserves economic wellbeing and I’m passionate about finding new ways to help our clients win financially. I look forward to working with team leaders across the footprint to bring effective solutions to those we service.”

Wise is a graduate of the University of South Carolina. She will be based in United’s Columbia, South Carolina office at 1901 Main Street.
