United Community completes transition of American National Bank

  • Posted on July 14, 2025
OAKLAND PARK, Fla. – United Community has officially completed the transition of all accounts and services from American National Bank (ANB), following its merger with United on May 1, 2025.

ANB’s single branch, located in Oakland Park, Florida, is now part of United Community, expanding United’s strong presence in the Metro Miami area. The branch, along with all signage, accounts, and services, now operates under the United brand, which has grown to over 200 locations across six states.

“This marks an exciting new chapter - uniting two strong companies with a shared commitment to community and customer care,” said Sharon Thompson, United Community Florida State President. “We’re bringing expanded resources and deep expertise to serve our new customers, while honoring the trusted relationships and personalized service that ANB has built over the years. Together, we’re not just growing - we’re growing with purpose, and with our customers in mind.”

Under the United Community brand, ANB customers will continue to receive award-winning, best-in-class service for both personal and business needs — from commercial and consumer banking to home loans, wealth management and investment services.
