About
Alex has been in the banking industry for 14 years, spending the majority of his career in the not-for-profit and municipal lending sector both in credit risk management and as a relationship manager. He is responsible for the entire UCB footprint through both partner and direct opportunities. Alex has a passion for this lending space as he knows the positive and vital impact that these organizations and municipalities have on the communities that they serve.
Prior to joining UCB, Alex spent his entire banking career at BB&T now Truist where he helped grow the bank’s not-for-profit and municipal lending portfolio to over $16.5B.
Alex received his undergraduate degree from East Carolina University and his MBA from Louisiana Tech University. In addition to his professional life, Alex has serves on the board of Senior Services, Inc., chaired the BB&T/Truist United Way Golf Tournament multiple times, and holds the position of treasurer at his church for the past 13 years. Alex and his wife live in Winston-Salem, NC with their two sons and two dogs.
