Richard Bradshaw serves as President and Chief Banking Officer for United Community Bank. In this role, he is responsible for oversight and management of the bank’s diverse and substantial commercial lines of business, all 198 retail bank office locations across the five-state footprint and the fast-growing mortgage division. The commercial banking solutions includes the bank’s Commercial Real Estate, Middle Market, Asset-Based Lending, Renewable Energy, 501c3 and Senior Care lines of business. This division also includes the United’s SBA lending program, which is one of the largest in volume SBA divisions in the southeast.

Bradshaw brings more than 25 years of banking industry experience to his role at United Community Bank. Prior to this position, he served as the head of U.S. SBA Programs at TD Bank and led the bank to become the 8th largest SBA lender in the U.S. Bradshaw also developed a successful SBA lending unit at Carolina First before it was acquired by TD Bank.

He previously served as president at UPS Capital Business Credit in Atlanta, GA, where he was responsible for sales and marketing, for asset-based lending, equipment leasing, SBA and insurance.

Bradshaw is a retired, decorated Commander in the U.S. Naval Reserve Intelligence Program and served five years of active duty as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force. He graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and holds a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University. He has served several terms on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for NAGGL (National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders) and received the organization’s annual Distinguished Service Award in 2014. Rich is the past president of the board of directors for the Greenville Symphony Orchestra. He has previously served as president of the board for Greenville Literacy Association.

Bradshaw and his wife, Stacey, live in Greenville, SC, and have three adult children and two grandchildren.
