Rob Edwards serves as the chief risk officer for United Community Bank. Edwards has more than twenty-five years of experience in the financial industry. As chief risk officer, he is responsible for oversight of the credit culture and delivering solid credit performance for United Community Bank.
Prior to joining United in 2016, Edwards was executive credit officer over Credit Policy and Risk Reporting and Analytics at TD Bank N.A. He also served as chief credit officer at The South Financial Group.
Edwards earned his bachelor’s degree from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Massachusetts and a Master of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. He is a member of the Nazarene Theological Seminary board and lives with his wife and children in Simpsonville, SC.
