All Locations Now Part of United Brand

GREENVILLE, S.C.– Following its merger with Progress Bank and Trust on January 3, 2023, United Community Bank has completed the transition of all Progress accounts and services. Fourteen Progress branch locations in Alabama and the Florida Panhandle have been re-branded, bringing United’s total footprint to 206 locations across six states.

“We are pleased to welcome a team of talented bankers who share our commitment to helping customers achieve their financial goals and plan for their futures, creating happier lives and stronger communities,” said Lynn Harton, President and Chief Executive Officer of United. “The dedicated, focused, and friendly service customers have come to know at Progress will continue as we move forward together.

“We’re honored to deliver the same personalized service and local decision making – along with everything else customers love about Progress – through a larger network of locations, resources, and expertise,” said David Nast who founded Progress in 2008 and now leads United in Alabama and the Florida Panhandle. “Our priority is to make customers comfortable in their new financial home and make this transition as seamless as possible for them.”

Progress Bank will be the first market within the United footprint to showcase the refreshed United brand logo. Signs and communication with Progress customers will reflect the updated United Community logo, ahead of a footprint-wide rollout of the look over the next 18 months.
