United Community to Expand in Winston-Salem
The new branch will relocate from the building’s fourth floor to a renovated, street-level space designed to improve accessibility and convenience for customers. Once open, the full-service branch will offer United’s comprehensive suite of personal and business banking services, including checking and savings accounts, commercial and consumer lending, treasury management, mortgage lending and wealth management.
Additionally, the location will include an Interactive Teller Machine (ITM), giving customers extended access to everyday banking services along with the option to make deposits, cash checks, transfer funds and make loan payments, all with a live person through a video chat. The hours for the ITM will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET, and Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET.
“Winston-Salem’s economic vitality, strong demographics and proximity to six major universities make this an ideal market for continued growth,” said Stewart Holmes, Triad market president for United Community. “At United, we go beyond banking—we build relationships. By understanding the unique needs of individuals and businesses, we deliver financial solutions that truly fit. We look forward to expanding our services and deepening relationships across the community when the branch opens in the new year.”
The branch will employ 10 team members, including four newly created positions to strengthen customer service, lending and business development. The team will continue to operate under Holmes’ leadership, serving customers throughout the Triad region.
To celebrate the opening, United Community will host a grand opening event in March, welcoming community partners, local business leaders, and customers to experience the new branch.
